ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS

 The Biomarkers & Personalized Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease Symposium invites you to submit abstracts for review during the Symposium!

SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT

Please read all the information below prior to submitting your abstract(s).

General Information

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: April 18, 2025

  • The Top Abstract will receive an award.
  • Case reports that highlight the use of biomarkers are also encouraged.
  • Symposium attendance is NOT required for abstract submission.
  • Unlimited entries are allowed. 
  • Abstracts must be written in English.
  • Notification of acceptance will be emailed no later than April 30, 2025. Submissions received earlier may be approved earlier.

How to Submit Your Abstract

Step 1: Prepare your abstract as a Word document, max 375 words (no tables or figures; no PDFs; see samples), with complete contact information for the corresponding author.  

Include a Disclosure Statement. This is to acknowledge any financial or non-financial interest that has arisen from the direct applications of your research. If there are no relevant competing interests to declare please state this, for example: The authors report there are no competing interests to declare. Further guidance on what is a conflict of interest and how to disclose it can be found at: https://authorservices.taylorandfrancis.com/editorial-policies/competing-interest/

Step 2: Submit your abstract (Word document) to biomarkers@health.ucsd.edu

Deadline: Abstracts MUST BE RECEIVED no later than April 18, 2025.


Step 3: Dr. Daniels will inform you if your abstract has been accepted.

Notification of acceptance will be emailed no later than April 30, 2025.


Step 4: Complete Your Poster - see "Poster Instructions for Accepted Abstracts" below.


Step 5: Bring your poster to La Jolla for the Symposium! 

You will be responsible for printing and bringing your poster(s) to the hotel. However, if you cannot attend the symposium, please email biomarkers@health.ucsd.edu to discuss alternative options.

Poster Instructions for Accepted Abstracts

If your written abstract is selected, you must create and bring your abstract in poster form for display at the symposium.


  • Suggested poster dimensions are 40 inches wide x 30 inches tall. Boards to hang the posters on and pushpins will be provided on-site.

  • Posters will be hung on Friday and displayed throughout the conference for viewing. There will be a Wine & Cheese Reception on Friday evening for you to showcase your poster. The winner will be announced at the reception.
  • If you would like your poster at the end of the meeting, you will be responsible for taking it down on Friday evening.

** NOTE: Students & trainees who submit an abstract that is selected will receive free registration!
